Privacy
What we store
If you create an account: your e-mail address, an optional name, a securely hashed password, your language and unit settings and the gardens you save. Without an account, gardens stay only in your own browser.
Cookies
One cookie keeps you signed in; it is strictly necessary. The public guide pages also show advertising from partners such as Google, which may use cookies or similar technologies to show and measure ads. In the EU, UK and Switzerland you are asked for your consent before that happens, and you can change your choice at any time. The planner shows ads only if the owner has turned on the single zone for it.
Advertising partners
Ads are served by third parties (for example Google AdSense). They process data such as your IP address and device information under their own privacy policies. Google explains how it uses data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Why
Only to run the planner and save your gardens. We do not sell or share your data and do not use it for advertising.
Visitor statistics
We count visits to see which pages are useful. This works without cookies: IP addresses are not stored, and a code that changes every day counts unique visitors, so nobody can be recognised from one day to the next.
Security
Connections are encrypted, passwords are stored as one-way hashes and access to each garden is limited to its owner.
Your rights
You can delete your account and all its gardens at any time from the account window. For any other request, including a copy of your data, write to contact@freevegetablegardenplanner.com.
Who runs the site
Emil M.. Contact: contact@freevegetablegardenplanner.com.
Bug reports
When you report a bug, we keep your message, the address of the page, your browser type and an irreversible code made from your network address, used only to stop floods; the code is erased after 30 days, and resolved reports after 180 days.
Saved gardens
Only site administrators can view your saved gardens when needed to fix problems. They cannot make changes, and every access is logged. Gardens saved only in your browser remain private unless you choose to attach them to a bug report. Only the garden layout and crops are shared, not your journal notes. This data is deleted with the report.
E-mails we send
We send only these e-mails: the confirmation of your address when you create an account, one reminder two weeks later with three ways to find your garden again, once a year for each garden a short reminder about a month before its season, the password-reset link when you ask for it and a notice when your password changes. Every reminder has a link to stop them. We never send newsletters or advertising.
Signing in with Google
If you choose “Continue with Google”, Google tells us your e-mail address, your name and an identifier of your Google account; nothing else. We use them only to open your account (the same one as with your e-mail, if you already have one). Google’s script loads only when you open the sign-in window. You can always sign in with your e-mail and password instead.
Google Analytics
If you accept, Google Analytics counts visits and pages with cookies, so we can see which guides are useful. You can decline, and nothing is loaded. Your choice is kept in your browser and you can change it from the privacy page.
